About Waldorf School Luxembourg
The Waldorf School of Luxembourg is part of an independent educational movement of over 1,000 schools worldwide.
We offer a uniquely well-rounded education for children from early childhood through to International Baccalaureate. We work with all children regardless of their academic ability, class, ethnicity or religion.
It is our aim for our pupils to emerge from our school as self-directed, self-confident and morally anchored learners.
R. Steiner referred particularly to 3 essential phases - each of approximately 7 years duration. In each of these phases, different faculties are developing, different growth forces are operating and the child learns in correspondingly different ways.
With a highly structured curriculum we emphasise development of the ‘whole’ child. This is not just their intellectual progression but also their physical, emotional, spiritual and moral expansion. We work on developing the ‘heart, hand and head’. This provides a balanced progress and opportunities for growth in all areas.
A central part of our success stems from our conviction that the best way to spark curiosity, deepen interest and discover the profound joys of learning is achieved by introducing a subject when a child is ready developmentally.

A school in which the children are recognized as a holistic being who as self-confident, socially attentive people can develop freely and are educated intellectually, artisanal, musically, artistically. In high school, students take part in many internships so that they can get a clear picture of the different work areas that exist and then decide which career path they want to take. The Waldorf School Luxembourg offers students the opportunity to complete the International Baccalaureate (an international Baccalaureate) which prepares them for a possible university or university degree.
