About SPGS International School Chengdu
SPGS International School Chengdu is a vibrant co-educational school that offers the international community in Chengdu a complete British education enhanced with the best elements of Chinese culture and learning.
Working in partnership with the renowned St Paul’s Girls' School (SPGS) in London, we are the first in a network of SPGS International schools that are opening across China. Our school is based on a true collaboration between our sister school in London and our ethos reflects that. We encourage strong links between China and the UK so that all students and staff can benefit from cultural and educational exchange.
St Paul’s Girls' School has a longstanding, global reputation and has produced some of the world’s best scholars, scientists, artists and industry leaders. In bringing the St Paul’s philosophy to China, we are continuing their heritage of producing students who not only excel academically but also recognise their individual strengths, develop creatively and acquire strong leadership skills.
Our community comprises our Junior School (ages 3-10) and Senior School (ages 11-18), all housed on a beautiful purpose-built site. Students follow our progressive curriculum which delivers the combined with elements of local culture and language, culminating in students taking the globally recognised IGCSE and A level examinations. This means all our pupils are fully prepared for their next stage, at university and beyond.
Our highly qualified teaching team of international and local teachers follow immersion learning in the classrooms and adapt their teaching to meet the unique learning qualities of each child to ensure that each student succeeds to their full potential.

How would you rate SPGS International School Chengdu?
My child is at this school for two years but we is very disappointed with the school. The management of the school is unstable and made bad decisions. Many teachers quit the school in a sudden way. Student welfare is not the priority factor of this school
They claim to have top notch academic excellence, however they are very poor in delivering the day to day class, it's based on individual teachers really if they are accountable for the class, there's no overall academic planning across the school which is shocking.
