About Schweizerschule Barcelona (ESB)

Schweizerschule Barcelona is an international school with a unique pedagogical system that  focuses on the students. Our ultimate goal is for students to grow into self-reliant and responsible people capable of achieving high academic and personal goals. The ESB is a multicultural school with an educational model based on the excellence and principles of Swiss pedagogy and in which the Swiss, Spanish and Catalan cultures live together harmoniously and respectfully.

Our students learn a total of five languages: German (our first language of instruction), Spanish, Catalan, English and French.

A family environment and a friendly approach characterize our school and form the basis for successful learning in a context in which good coexistence is important.

Our students receive the double degree, the Swiss and the Spanish, ie the Matura and the Selectividad. In this way, they finish their school days with excellent conditions to meet the demands of a globalized world and an international labor market.

Very strict, no flexibility at all, no diversity, no inclusion. Many teachers don't speak proper German.

Very classist school. If your son has ADHD, they'll "invite" you to leave.

Languages are the door openers of the future, in this Swiss School they will graduate with FIVE languages! The reason we moved from Lanzarote to Barcelona over one year ago, was because of the reputation of the Swiss school, and the exceptional leadership of there principal, Pascal Affolter and there great team. Always trying to find ways to improve educational values with the cooperation of the the Swiss government, especially the Canton Bern. Our two children Ocean and River (6 and 10) are very happy and can already speak decent German now. when visiting my family in Zurich, they are astonished by how fast they have learned German. I am Swiss born, but never spoke German with my children. At home we speak English.
