About Rygaards International School

The aim of Rygaards International School is to provide a sound education, in English, in order to enable students to return to their own national system, or continue at another international school. For both schools, particular emphasis is placed upon mutual understanding and respect among the many nationalities in the two schools.

The education given is, above all, in the Christian spirit; great importance is placed upon the religious and moral development of the individual student. A religion curriculum is offered to all students. Roman Catholics are given separate instruction.

Overall

Over the years the benefits the school offers decreases- year 10 and 11 don’t have music lessons and year 11 doesn’t even have gym and danish lessons . That said, it is a very nice school environment and many of the lessons are great. Especially biology, physics and maths I’d say.

We were hesitant at first to send my son to Rygaards, as we did not know anything about it, but so glad we did! An absolutely excellent school!

Money making heartless administrative machine. Our son was rejected- within 7 minutes of 15 kid interview. Our son, 4 years old, went to a collective interview with a few teachers and 15 or so other kids. After putting on our shoes and saying bye, I stepped into the car and got an email with a generic rejection. Each application was over 150 USD and they clearly pre-selected which kids were in. Upon insisting for feedback we receieved further generic answers. Then all communication stopped. Despicable for a school of this reputation. Don't take it personal I was told by some high in the sector who knows Rygaards well: " at the front line, it's all just an increasingly competitive business and kids on the outside are just financing surplus." Appalling.
