About PlayPen Escola Cidade Jardim
Daring and innovative, PlayPen Escola Cidade Jardim inaugurated bilingual education in Brazil in 1981, integrating national and international curricula in English and Portuguese, becoming a reference from Preschool to Middle School and will inaugurate the Secondary School in 2020. The proposal at PlayPen is inspired by the social interactionist theory, according to which learning occurs through the contact of man and society. Here, students are the protagonist. Their natural curiosity is preserved and the access to knowledge by means of research is stimulated.
PlayPen has a national identity and follows the Brazilian calendar, but always promotes the student's contact with different cultures. The school adopts international curriculums for Preschool, Primary and Middle School: IEYC, IPC and IMYC.
These curriculums, created for students living in various parts of the world, integrate different areas: teaching expectations, multiculturalism and ethical, social and moral development. Besides that, they include projects specifically designed to ensure a process of engaging and continuous learning.

É uma escola brasileira com ensino construtivista bilíngue, o que a torna diferente das escolas estrangeiras e das escolas que montam um currículo estrangeiro. Tem até o Ensino Fundamental e encaminha os alunos ao Ensino Médio do Colégio Bandeirantes (aceitos sem provas), ao Colégio Móbile (por meio de provas). Para os alunos de um perfil mais humanista são recomendaras as escolas Santa Cruz, Vera Cruz e Gracinha (com provas). Os alunos saem com inglês fluente e certificado pela Universidade de Cambridge, o que os dispensa das aulas de inglês do EM. Durante o curso os alunos vão estudar no Canadá e na Inglaterra.

I hated this place. I never ever want to set foot in there again. My time at this school were the worst two years of my life. Don't put your children there. During the two years I went there the school board treated me and my family with disrespect and negligence.
