About Marist Brothers International School (MBIS)

Marist Brothers International School (MBIS) is a private, college-preparatory school, catering to students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Since opening our doors in 1951, our graduates have consistently achieved placements in universities and colleges around the world. MBIS has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1972, and became an IB World School in 2017. We are committed to excellence in education, but believe that excellence means more than a rigorous and stimulating curriculum. Our holistic approach includes a focused dedication to character – developing skills which make our students stand out from the crowd. Character and community are at our heart - the foundation of the Marist ‘difference’.

Marist Brothers International School is fully accredited by the world-renowned Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is an IBO World School. WASC is a California-based accrediting agency (one of the six regional agencies in the United States), working with schools in the United States and around the world to ensure students receive a well-rounded, high quality education. Furthermore, as an IBO World School, MBIS is authorized to provide the prestigious International Baccalaureate Programme.

Teachers who truly care about each student’s academic growth as well as emotional wellbeing. Kids love to come to school and be with others from different backgrounds. Very diverse and challenging school.

Attended 5th, 6th and 7th grade in the 1970’s, the teachers were amazing.

This was the first school I ever attended - it was back in the 1960's ! I really liked it. And Suma...a lovely location back then.

The teachers in this school are super super super biased. Some won't even listen to your actual true confessions and would just assume that you're in the wrong. Some don't really listen to your problems, and some categorize you as to what kind of student they think you are. I wish they were more considerate and would mind their own business, instead of trying to get to know about a student's life outside of school.

Moral disintegration in certain grades. If your kid is reasonably good, and is unfortunately in one of these grades, s/he will be immediately picked on. The problem is, this school only listens to the voice of the majority. They even force your child to “confess” something that s/he didn’t even commit. The psychological bully in there is simply out of control.
