About Lakeside School - Horgen
Welcome to Lakeside School - Horgen, our private, bilingual day schools located on Lake Zurich. Our qualified teachers and care-givers look forward to accompanying your 3-12 year old child(ren) on their educational path and challenging all their senses in the classroom. Officially recognised by the Zurich cantonal school authorities, our unique bilingual curriculum combines the learning objectives of the local curriculum (Lehrplan 21) with that of international schools thereby opening up a new world to children, which they can share with their day school friends.
In contrast to international schools we, as a bilingual school, are allowed to accept local families without any restrictions.
Our schools, like the children who attend, are unique due to their individual history.

How would you rate Lakeside School - Horgen?
The combination of small number of students per class and experienced teachers are the key for an excellent bilingual education.
Lakeside School is a wonderful school. Our daughter started in Kindergarten 2 and is now almost finished Grade 1. It is a truly bilingual school, in primary school all lessons are taught in German one week and English the next. Our daughter’s language skills have flourished. It is a wonderful school community, the children show great respect and encouragement for each other. As a parent I notice the general feeling of happiness and well-being, students and staff are smiling and most importantly our daughter loves going to school.

We feel lucky to have found Horgen, as well as the Lakeside School. Our son has loved his six plus years at the school - and heads happily out the door each day.
