About La Petite Ecole Singapore

La Petite Ecole is a French bilingual preschool in Singapore. It offers a bilingual curriculum in French and English, for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. Classes are taught alternately by an English native classroom teacher and a French “Professeur des Ecoles”, and follow the French Ministry of Education curriculum. Our teachers are all experienced and qualified in early childhood education in their native language.

La Petite Ecole is a certified French school, part of the overseas French schools network. At the end of Grande Section, all families who want to register their child at Lycée Français de Singapour (LFS – French School of Singapore) will enjoy automatic admission at LFS, regardless of the child’s nationality.

Located in a green setting off Bukit Timah road, La Petite Ecole is a programme built in association with Blue House International. As such, within Blue House Atelier, our school benefits from a larger community of artists, music teachers, Mandarin classes, dance and drama workshops.

We have a prime access to a 400 sqm backyard and share a small garden with Blue House International. We can also enjoy other facilities on site such as a football pitch, a swimming pool, and a horse club.

We welcome children from mixed families who have one French-speaking parent only, and also families with a keen interest in French language and culture.

Two of my boys have been at La Petite Ecole since we moved to Singapore last year and both have loved it. They arrived barely speaking 3 words of French and 8 months later the eldest is graduating speaking fluently. The school itself is very down to earth, not flashy at all, which I really think suits little kids as they get to be messy and haphazard in a relaxed environment. The outings that the school organises in the meantime are brilliant - snow park, zoo, national library, it seems there is a steady stream of engaging, fun activities on offer. But the real strength of La Petite Ecole lies in the team, led by the brilliant Maria. She is genuinely passionate about education, not just in the ABC-sense but in the formation of children's minds as a whole - she even gets the eldest kids together in her office for Philosophical chats, which I think is both hilarious and genius! All in all, I can't speak highly enough of LPE.

My two children go to school at La Petite Ecole and we are delighted with this structure. The principal of the school, the teachers and the assistants are of a rare kindness! The educational project is extremely interesting and stimulating for the children. The small establishment in nature, allows children to evolve in a school on their own scale where they feel very quickly at home and at home. The follow-up of teachers is really extraordinary and allows a pedagogy adapted to the different profiles of children. I highly recommend this establishment for learning French and English on an equal basis, with bilingual, curious students at the end of the main section, and for the most part readers! Thank you La Petite Ecole!

La Petite École is located in an idyllic setting surrounded by nature and offers a stimulating space for children. The infrastructures are continually being redesigned and renewed: playground, climbing wall, botanical and musical garden, sports fields and Aquaduck swimming pool nearby .... Our little girl spent two fantastic years there, rich in stimulating educational projects punctuated by school outings and interventions by relevant professionals (philosophy, reading or artistic workshops, world tour, etc.) Another significant asset is bilingual education! In this "family" environment, dialogue is permanent between the parents and the teaching and administrative team who kindly watch over the awakening of our children! The open days at the end of each term bear witness to the enthusiasm and commitment of the whole school! What a joy to see that the well-being of our child is essential. Talk about education and pedagogy with Maria the principal and you will be convinced that your child is in his place! Finally, La Petite École was able to perfectly support our daughter throughout her early childhood by teaching her autonomy, reflection and preparing her gently and confidently for the Grande École!

very disappointing private for-profit school to the detriment of the quality of education. The management does not know anything about teaching, it runs a business. Too bad because there are very good people on the staff. This year, my daughter from PS has seen several teachers parade including one is crazy and dangerous: stupefaction in front of Disney, exit in the bazaar, it's amazing.
