About Kazakhstan International School (KIS)

Kazakhstan International School (KIS) was founded in 1999. We recently celebrated twenty years of success and growth as a community. KIS is proud to be an IB World School, offering the globally recognized International Baccalaureate programme (IB). Our ethos is simple: we put students first. At KIS, every child is treated as an individual.

The IB programmes are academically rigorous, yet they are also flexible, allowing students to learn in the ways that suit them best. We believe that personal, social and emotional growth goes hand-in-hand with academic success.

Our experienced and highly qualified teachers work in close partnership with parents to ensure every child can develop his or her potential fully.

Overall

The worst school I've attended yet, apparently it used to be good. No IB diplomas, they gave out Kazakh diplomas. Half of the teachers got fired halfway into the year, no textbooks, missing classes, terrible education. Pretty sure they are deleting the comments. The food was fairly good though, they had lagman

This school is the best choice for international education in Kazakhstan. They recently moved to a new beautiful campus and are full k-12 International Baccalaureate curriculum. We're planning to send our daughter there in the Fall.

All teachers are English native speakers, strong math and science programs, 65 % of children are foreigners, reasonable tuition fees. Best international school in Almaty!
