About Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm (IEGS)
Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm (IEGS) is located in the heart of Södermalm with a strong academic and multicultural tradition, committed to helping students develop to their full potential. We currently offer four Swedish national programmes and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, which all qualify students for university studies in Sweden or abroad.
All courses, with the exception of Swedish, Civics A, Law and Modern Languages, are taught in English. IEGS believes that every student has the capacity to develop intellectually, personally and morally. Our pedagogy is based on a work ethic where involvement comes through hard work, creativity, commitment and dedication. Intellectual curiosity is imperative for academic development and for understanding the world we live in.
At its heart Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm is motivated by a mission to create a better world through education, prepare students for the world of today and tomorrow and develop young people who are courageous thinkers, reflective learners and curious about the world in which we live in.

How would you rate Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm (IEGS)?
The school is truly International in spirit and way of teaching. Lots of different nationalities. The teachers are very good and they listen to the students' need, but at the same time the academic level is very high and demanding. Students learn knowledge but at the same time they learn to think independently and in a democratic way. My daughter attends the 2nd year of the drama course and she is extremely satisfied! Me too!
Just a great school in total. Made a lot of friends even when I stayed short. The teachers are kind to me and I got a academic award.
