About International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC)
International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) established in 1993, ISHCMC is the oldest international school in Ho Chi Minh City and the first IB World School in Vietnam. ISHCMC provides the International Baccalaureate with a culturally diverse perspective to students aged 2 - 18 years.
ISHCMC is a vibrant co-educational school of over 1,400 students representing over 59 nationalities and provides a unique learning experience from Early Years through to Grade 12.
As one of the few IB Continuum schools in Vietnam, ISHCMC offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Through the IB curriculum, students construct understandings and knowledge of their world through personalized learning experiences and inquiries that develop a deep understanding of important concepts in global contexts.

Excellent school for my kids. They want to stay at school more than at home
I have worked here for 2 years and I am amazed by the quality of education, welcoming community, and outstanding facilities. I can't wait for my children to also attend this school.
I graduated from ISHCMC in 2019 and going to university was so much easier for me compared to my university peers. ISHCMC teachers were so supportive when I did my IBDP even though I was stressed and at times tired...thank god for coffee! Rhinos forever!
The school prioritize the wellbeing of its students, offering support services and programs promote physical, emotional, and mental health. This ensures a nurturing and safe environment for students to thrive.
Over the last 2 years, my son in grade 2 has loved his two teachers Mr. Tom and Ms. Pau. He also learned to swim and loves being an ISHCMC Stingray
This school was a wonderful place for my children to develop their academic and personal communication skills
This is a great school with great teachers and community. Teachers are so enthusiastic and very supportive.
My experience at the school was great. The teachers were kind and always available to help. The school also focuses a lot on self-reflection, building up important skills that are essential for success. The syllabus being studied was always interesting and the classes focus on using research done by the students themselves instead of usual text-book answers. The summative assessments were always stress-free and gave sufficient time to be completed. As a former student I feel sad to have left and definitely enjoyed ISHCMC much more than my current school.
It was the first international school & longest history of accreditation. All 3 programmers of the IB and 20 years of successfully graduating IBDP students to high profile universities worldwide.

I like how easy it is to submit an inquiry through the ISHCMC website. The admissions staff at ISHCMC have been very helpful during the inquiry process as well.
