About HEUREKA! Montessori Schule Mauer
HEUREKA! Montessori Schule Mauer is a school for children ages 6–12, in which we are applying the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori and her well established material that she developed after many years of scientific observations. We want to achieve, that our students go through life as happy children, and mature into successful adults.
Our students should acquire comprehensive knowledge, we want to sharpen their thinking skills and assist them in their development. Independent study and self-responsibility are important factors towards strong personal development. We emphasize the cross-linking of all components that are necessary for strong personal growth. This is why we connect our work with academically challenging Montessori materials, as well as the social interaction in our school community and the positive hands-on-experiences outside of our classrooms.

How would you rate HEUREKA! Montessori Schule Mauer?
Very high rate of students that leave the school every year due to bad social support by the teachers. The principal sells the school well, but as soon as you get to know the school better you will find out that behind this curtain your kids are not in a safe social environment. Kids age 6-12 are taught within a small building. Older kids are bullying the younger ones and the teachers gave up to sort this out. This lead to the fact that parents go to psychologists with their kids to help their kids and in the end leave the school after several attempts of feedback and serious talks with the principal. The principal refuses to admit that there is a problem in the school and in several cases tells the parents it is their child that is the problem. Parents even proposed to have school coaches or psychologist support to get the group dynamics in that school better accompanied. Unfortunately, this has been ignored by the school and has led to that fact that 8 children (out of 40) left the school only within the last school year. I believe these numbers and the pain of the kids say more than needed for you to make a good decision for your child/children. My kid was in this school for 3 years and I am still convinced of the Maria Montessori way to educated kids, but certainly not in this school. There are far better ones. I hope my review was of help for you and you find a good school for your loved ones. Best wishes.
Unfortunately, this school is very bad, as the teachers are unable to work with the children. Promises are not kept, what you read on the website does not correspond with reality.
