About Dover Court International School

Dover Court International School in Singapore was established in 1972 and is one of the leading inclusive British international schools in South East Asia. We will open our new Secondary block and sports hall in August 2019. Dover Court International School is not a selective school, we welcome students of all academic abilities and it’s because we offer support for many different academic, social and emotional needs that our student population is incredibly diverse.

The school community reflects the wider global community and everyone benefits from this. Dover Court International School fosters students who are empathetic, accepting and understanding, qualities that we all hope our children will have as they grow up and forge their own independent paths in the world.

Lovely and supportive environment where our three children are thriving. We have been parents of the school for almost seven years and couldn't be happier! Caring and engaging teachers and a real sense of community. Academically strong and yet inclusive, something that you don't see often in the expat world!

The school lacks facility and equipment for science, art, music and sport to name a few. Canteen etc is very small to share among a huge number of students which the school has double its students number with in 2-3 years but not much on facilities. During school tour, the sales team (admin) sold us about the link to MIT, approach to STEAM and link to Julliad Art. But once we are in, none of that really translate much toward a child education. STEAM is not embedded in everyday teaching concept but only a day or a week event in a term. Homework/School works are not really checked. The streaming of classes and homework policy were good in concept but in reality, they were implemented badly. So my child was robbed of her potential. Another key concern is child safety. The school has pathway children. Unfortunately, the staff ratio to pathway students seem to be an issue, in my opinion, as there has been lots of incident where a normal students get push, knocked etc. at playground.

A wonderfully rich and diverse academic environment. It feels more like a proper community school and less like a overpopulated University. Our son has thrived there, and we’ve been very pleased with all aspects of his learning and personal development.

I have two children who are at Dover Court. The facilities are very good and I am very comfortable with the way the teachers come across, how my children are treated and the standard of education. It is in a nice location, easy to get to. When we first came to Singapore and visited some schools, Dover Court really did stand out and made us very welcome. There are many weekend activities for parents to meet which is important in Singapore and we have made many friends. The children have settled well and are flourishing.

One of the best international school in Singapore. You can be assured that good values will be inculcated in children. Due to small class size, children receive great person care.
