About Dover American International School (DAIS)
Established in Cairo, Dover American International School (DAIS) was inaugurated in 2010. In partnership with the school community, our intent is to provide eligible students, primarily from the Middle East and in the Greater Cairo area, with a rigorous and challenging American and international preparatory education. Our school has developed a very conducive learning environment that is founded on respect, responsibility and results. During every step of our students’ academic journey, we strive to provide the finest American educational instruction while cultivating a passion for learning, a capacity for critical thinking and a sense of civic responsibility.
Our program incorporates the following: Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science (NGSS) and the Virginia State Standards of Learning; it is designed to prepare students for entry into highly competitive universities. Inquiry and problem solving approaches to curriculum implementation are utilized. It is our belief that active learners need to develop critical thinking skills to have ongoing success. Life is rapidly evolving, our students will graduate with the vision, knowledge and skills to lead and succeed in their ever changing world.
Our challenging academic program also provides many opportunities outside of the classroom. Students at all levels participate in extra-curricular activities. In addition to a number of sports, sample activities include Student Council, peer tutoring and Model United Nations (MUN). Our program embraces the fine arts and music. Both are profiled in our annual shows, art exhibits and choirs. We aim to educate the whole child. A tradition of educational excellence drives our future.

I went there multiple times it is too big and beautiful. It has nice playgrounds everything there is just beautiful and teachers there are professional

I’m a parent and a member of the the school’s advisory committee as well. So I can say that DIAS is a very good school.. it’s a well organized educational institution due to its wise administration and a good planning. Who are in charge of the school’s progress are so keen on teachers’ development for the sake of the students’ success. I’m so proud and lucky that this is the fourth year of my son to be there. The school is successfully managed to professionally organize online classes and hybrid education during the pandemic period of COVID-19. There is only one point I want the school’s administration to pay attention to: please open the mosque and assign 10 minutes for Al Zohr prayer . I do believe you can do it as you handled more difficult issues on tougher times. Thank you Dover❤️❤️
