BULLYING CASE AT DALAT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PENANG Today marks an important day in both my daughter and my life for we have won a case against an international school in Penang, DALAT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. My daughter was bullied in school, hit numerous times until one day she came home with a nose bleed. When we approached the principal for help many times but nothing was done, we approached counsellor but the counsellor ignored us. To add insult to injury, I was shouted at, I was humiliated in front of the school staff and asked to leave the school despite we being the victims. They shouted at my daughter and called her a liar. They further told us if you want to continue schooling here, you must not complain any more. Thereafter, they went on to defame and said i harassed and accosted the parents of the bully wherein they have no proof whatsoever because such a thing never happened at all. This is a very horrible experience which we had to endure despite paying good money for their services. We took the matter to court and with the help of my lawyer we have won the case.

The only positive aspect of this school is the fact that it is unique: it somehow manages to be both an international school and a American right-wing indoctrination site. In contrast to the diverse student population, the majority of teachers are white American evangelicals, and they do all they can to enforce an American conservative agenda on Asian students who have nothing to do with American politics. They even make this right-wing content a official curriculum when they force students to watch pragerU videos in class and write essays denying systematic racism. This school seriously needs to move from Malaysia to the American Deep South. That’s where they’ll find their target audience.
