About be.Living School

be.Living School Sao Paulo was born in 2000 from a single ideal: creating a space where children could interact and learn together, always surrounded by love, respect and cooperation.

In order to bring this vision to life, we are guided by a teaching concept that respects the child’s prior knowledge, values their active role in the learning process, and allows them to take the reins of their own development process.

Our perception and understanding of childhood and the boys and girls of our time stem from a fairly recent historical construct. Seeing them as individuals with a voice that must be heard and several other rights to be protected are some of the milestones achieved along the way.

Our early childhood project is built on the notion that children are an intrinsic part of our culture and society, with independent control over their own development path and capable of questioning themselves and the world around them. While they are extremely eager to learn and discover new things, they also bring all of their own experiences to school and repertoires built through other means. Closely listening to what these boys and girls have to offer every day, working together to build several different cognitive learning paths and challenges, are ways to support the full development of each and every one of them.
