About AIS Altea International School
Altea International School (AIS) is a British international school founded in 2012. AIS was created by a group of enthusiastic parents and teachers, who believed that learning should take place as experientially as possible, that individual attention is fundamental, and that close communication between the members of the educational community – students, teachers and parents – is essential.
AIS is a privately owned British international school with Steiner- Waldorf orientation, dedicated to offering a unique learning experience. AIS follows the British National Curriculum and Steiner-Waldorf principles, ensuring that equal emphasis is placed on solid academic foundation, artistic expression and socio-emotional development. We celebrate our students’ individuality and encourage them to find their true selves through all our activities. We do not judge the students by their academic results, but rather foster their creativity whilst striving to prepare them academically for their IGCSE and A-level exams which they will need at a later date. We give great importance to the arts as well as other traditional academic subjects.

How would you rate AIS Altea International School?
The surroundings are beautiful. However the curriculum is at least 2 years behind the British curriculum. My 12 year old daughter constantly commented how she already learned this back in London. A whole year in the school she hasn't learned anything new. Also my daughter used to go to Steiner school in London and I can safely say that AIS does not resemble Steiner influence in any way whatsoever. The school administration is a complete shambles!
