La Petite Ecole Singapore opened in 2012 and has been accredited by the French Ministry of Education since 2013, which makes it a partner school of the AEFE network; it belongs to the Paris-based Odyssey group. All of its kindergarten and elementary classes are housed at One Holland Village, and it presents itself as the only French school in Singapore teaching in French, English and Mandarin from the age of two.

The school follows the official French curriculum. Kindergarten (Cycle 1) welcomes children from two to six years old, from N1 to K2, with a gradual settling-in period when needed. Elementary school, for children aged six to eleven, is split into Cycle 2 (CP to CE2) and Cycle 3 (CM1 and CM2), with multi-level classes when numbers allow. Singaporean pupils leave after kindergarten in line with local rules, while international pupils can stay until Grade 5 and then move on to AEFE schools or to IB, British or American programmes. Families can also obtain DELF, Cambridge and YCT language certificates.

Teaching is trilingual. In kindergarten each class has a French-speaking teacher all day, joined in turn by an English-speaking and a Mandarin-speaking teacher who co-teach the French programme. In elementary school lessons alternate between French and English and are complemented by four hours of Mandarin a week. Mandarin was introduced for every child from the age of two in 2018, and all lessons are given by native speakers.

About 30 extra-curricular activities are offered each period, from Monday to Thursday after lessons and on Friday afternoons. The current list mixes sport (futsal, karate, Muay Thai, multi-sports, and parkour paired with Mandarin), the arts (ballet and jazz, drama, music discovery, arts and crafts) and learning clubs such as coding, chess, cooking, young scientists and homework support.

Families can use the school canteen and the school bus, and an optional bus also runs after the extra-curricular activities. Holiday camps are organised with partners in October, February, April and early July for children aged two to eleven, including those from other schools. French families resident in Singapore may apply through the French Consulate for AEFE bursaries, which can cover tuition, meals or transport. In 2025 the school received the EFE3D Level 1 label for its work on sustainable development.

The school has 11 classrooms, a multipurpose hall, a library stocked with books in French, English and Mandarin, an outdoor playground on Level 8 reserved for kindergarten children and separate toilets for each section, plus an indoor green wall used for nature lessons. Classes also make regular use of the outdoor space on Level 4 of One Holland Village, nearby playgrounds and parks, and sports facilities in the area.

Two of my boys have been at La Petite Ecole since we moved to Singapore last year and both have loved it. They arrived barely speaking 3 words of French and 8 months later the eldest is graduating speaking fluently. The school itself is very down to earth, not flashy at all, which I really think suits little kids as they get to be messy and haphazard in a relaxed environment. The outings that the school organises in the meantime are brilliant - snow park, zoo, national library, it seems there is a steady stream of engaging, fun activities on offer. ...

My two children go to school at La Petite Ecole and we are delighted with this structure. The principal of the school, the teachers and the assistants are of a rare kindness! The educational project is extremely interesting and stimulating for the children. The small establishment in nature, allows children to evolve in a school on their own scale where they feel very quickly at home and at home. The follow-up of teachers is really extraordinary and allows a pedagogy adapted to the different profiles of children. I highly recommend this establishmen...

La Petite École is located in an idyllic setting surrounded by nature and offers a stimulating space for children. The infrastructures are continually being redesigned and renewed: playground, climbing wall, botanical and musical garden, sports fields and Aquaduck swimming pool nearby ....
