The International French School (Singapore) is a private school offering a French-English education to students aged 3 to 18, with more than fifty years of history in the city. It welcomes around 2,600 students of some seventy nationalities from kindergarten to high school, teaching the French national programme with extra weight given to English and support for pupils who arrive without French. The structure runs from Maternelle for ages 3 to 6, through Elementary and Middle School, to High School for ages 15 to 18, preparing students for the Diplome National du Brevet and then the Baccalaureate.

The International French School is built on the French national programme, with English carrying extra weight, giving families internationally recognised qualifications and a route back into the French system or on to universities abroad. Maternelle, for ages 3 to 5, draws on the ecole maternelle model established in 1881 and blends it with Reggio Emilia and Montessori practice, working across language, mathematics, physical activity, arts and understanding the world, with one adult educator for every nine children. Elementary adds English as a Foreign Language support and immersive French for newcomers. Middle School prepares pupils for the Diplome National du Brevet, and High School leads to the Baccalaureate, with arts taught throughout: daily art sessions in the early years, weekly music and visual arts in College, and drama, music and visual arts electives in Lycee.

Language sits at the centre of the International French School's model. Teaching is bilingual in French and English, and from Petite Section children follow a plurilingual pathway that adds Mandarin, moving from eleven hours of French, eight of English and two of Mandarin to thirteen, ten and three by Grande Section. Pupils new to English are supported through an English as a Foreign Language provision from Grade 1 to Grade 5, and non-French speakers receive an immersive French support programme. Further options include German, Spanish and Latin, with Mandarin compulsory in the Classic Stream as a language of the host country, and Italian and Japanese offered as language and culture activities after school. Students can sit external certifications, including DELE for Spanish and the Goethe-Zertifikat for German.

More than sixty after-school activities run at the International French School, supervised by experienced coaches and offered in French or in English from kindergarten upwards. Sessions run Monday to Thursday from 3.35pm, Friday from 12.45pm and Saturday mornings, subject to minimum registrations. Sport covers swimming at all levels and in competition, football, rugby and touch rugby, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, pickleball, archery, fencing, judo, karate, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics, parkour, roller, skateboarding, climbing and multi-sports. Creative and academic options include ballet, modern dance, breakdance and hip hop, drama in both English and French, musical theatre, choir and a pop-rock band, fine and visual arts, jewellery and mosaic work, sewing and fashion design, movie making, cookery, coding and robotics, chess, public speaking and a model United Nations. Students compete in inter-school events across the AEFE network as well as locally and internationally.

The International French School campus holds 160 classrooms, including exam rooms, each between 51 and 65 square metres and built for 25 students, with acoustics, lighting, air quality and temperature managed for learning. Academic and creative provision includes four libraries, four large performance halls, drama, music and dance studios, media technology suites and science laboratories, plus nap rooms for the youngest children and modern canteens. Sport is supported by two 25-metre swimming pools, two rugby and football pitches, three gyms containing two climbing walls, several large outdoor playgrounds, a running track and an outdoor basketball court. The kindergarten uses a villa layout in which clusters of four classrooms open onto a shared Agora.
