International Community School (Singapore) was founded in 1993 by expatriate families who wanted an academically demanding, Christ-centred international school. It now teaches more than 330 students from about 25 countries, from K4 to Grade 12, on its campus on Jubilee Road off West Coast Road, and is accredited by ACSI and WASC.

ICS follows the American model of education, with the school year running from mid-August to late May. Elementary School runs from pre-kindergarten (K4) to Grade 5 with a 9 to 1 student-teacher ratio; Middle School (Grades 6 to 8) is anchored in the Common Core and adds electives and a design technology programme; High School offers honors and Advanced Placement courses, PSAT in Grades 10 and 11 and a semester-long senior thesis, and graduates receive a US-style High School Diploma. Bible class and a weekly chapel service are part of every grade.

Extra-curricular activities run every school day except Wednesdays, in seasons, and are led by school staff. Recent offerings include cheerleading, technical cooking, Spanish language and culture, table tennis, an inventors' club, Chinese speech and drama, futsal, improvisation and spelling bee. Students also compete in basketball, football and volleyball against other international schools, and take part in service learning, including Week Without Walls trips.

We are very grateful for our time at ICS. It has been a great blessing to be part of a school truly rooted in Christian values. The education my son received was not only academically sound, but also based on faith, character, and love of neighbor. What impressed us most was the dedication of the teachers and staff. All 3 of my kids graduated from ICS, and said their first year of university was easier than their senior year at ICS! They were extremely prepared for university academics! And the added bonus of being able to participate in the many athletic programs was fantastic! Excellent school!
