How would you rate Windfield International School?
Overcrowded and very poor management, actually no Management, no focus on students and the families, just cash machine. If you care for your children highly avoid it
The school is modern, well-equipped and offers a wide range of free activities. The students come from all over the world and mix well. The level of English and French is excellent, and the school offers official language tests. I highly recommend it.
WIS stands out for its quality academic program, stimulating multicultural environment, modern facilities, and competent and dedicated teaching team. I highly recommend this school to all families looking for a quality education focused on the overall development of the child!
Windfield International School in Samui is truly an exceptional institution. The dual curriculum in both English and French is a remarkable feature, offering our children a well-rounded education. Also, students come from a multitude of nationalities, making it a truly intercultural environment. The school's facilities are top-notch, and the campus itself is relatively new, creating a conducive environment for learning. What truly sets Windfield apart is its incredible and caring teaching staff. They are dedicated to the success and well-being of each student. The best international school in Koh Samui. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for an excellent educational experience for their child in Samui.
If you care about your kids future , this is exactly the place to avoid, there is no ground of education culture and teachers are just taken widely spread with no teaching background. As matter of fact it is enough they graduated and can get hired. That said after a year of school, my son was tested in another academy and found out that his knowledge was at least two years behind compared to same class level. Same goes for the curriculum, we found out only afterwards unfortunately that it is not at all at level of any international standard school . A part of this, classes are overcrowded and the same children claim that it is not possible to listen and learn anything during the lesson. The whole school concept is based on a money machine model, such poor management from an headteacher who really doesn't overlook at the students progress and education needs. Not a case that the same had past failure history in a precedent french school. Best thing we have done is to take out our son , pity we did not realize before.
Young school, which has started launching lower prices to acquire as many kids as possible, quality of education is the lowest I have ever encountered, inexperienced teachers. Management hires anybody who has a diploma and not any teaching background. Overcrowded and completely insufficient facility for the amount of the students they take. Not an educational institute but a financial company. Pros : the day you are not accepted or the day you leave Cons : The whole management and concept it is exactly what a school should not be. Strongly avoid if you care of children's education and future.
The headteacher is aggressive when asked about anything about the school. He doesn't appear to know what they are doing.
Unprofessional in all aspects, especially the quality of teaching.
Overall a very bad experience in dealing with all aspects of the school from management to teachers. Despite being promised a lot the school does not do as it says. My children have not made any progress since joining the school, the teachers are not qualified as we were promised. They seemingly have never taught in an International school before. I will not be trusting this school or its teachers to get my child through their IGCSEs
The school's senior management have no qualifications or suitable experience of running an international school and this has shown in the schools progress. The teaching staff are not qualified teachers who are as a result not capable of delivering the Cambridge curriculum. The quality of staff is the biggest issue at the school as it not only affects the academic progress of the students but has significant impacts upon safeguarding and student wellbeing. I have serious concerns over the safety of staff and students under the school management.

The school is new, my son is very happy, the teaching is of great quality, and the best thing is the super attractive price, the highly qualified teachers. What impressed me most was that in such a short time my son had substantially improved his English, a huge leap. There are actually two schools, one English and one French. I recommend.
