Bad environment. Very stressful and forceful teachers. Push for performance. Pressure = excellence + mental health costs

Very bad organisation with lack of experience teachers. A military school more like it. Missing the point of developing a child's education life in school, but instead focusing on ridiculous matters such as school uniforms, rubberbands, pins for hair, school.shoes etc. Forever changing teachers!!! And we parents are suffering paying not knowing how the future of our kids will turn out! Secondary and primary principals are useless!

Overall, I'm very happy with the school & their teachers. The teachers are very responsible & approachable. They show lots of care & concern towards all their students. Besides academic, the school emphasizes on character building, which is very important. My son enjoys his school so much that he's looking forward to school everyday! Great job to all the teachers!

As a student, for the past 4 years in this school since 2018. I have experienced many fun times and precious memories with my teachers and friends. My teachers are dedicated, kind, encouraging and supportive. Even during the time of the pandemic, they have still managed to make online learning, a fun experience overall. I just want to say a big thank you to all my dear teachers, principals and friends for the fun years I have had in WMSPI Primary. Thanks to all who supported me on my journey in WMSPI.

Personally going to WMSPI, the school facilitates us students' needs. The teachers are very good at what they do and they really show passion for teaching, additionally, the school and its respected teachers also focus on personal character and traits which I find very good as we students will be able to both excel in academics and character values.

Poor leadership. Food is awful, teaching staff is forever changing. Good and experienced teachers leave after a while.

I am a graduate of the pioneering batch of this school from Year 9 to Year 11, and I can say honestly that it does not feel like I graduated from this school - it felt more like a tuition center if anything. The teachers that had taught us were one of the best I've ever met but also some of the most unqualified and obnoxious with a few pushing their seemingly religious agendas on converting students who are not Christian. On that note I felt like my privacy was invaded and I felt extremely insecure being there knowing I was a target of the words some of those teachers were saying. In terms of being unqualified, I was given the impression that some of the teachers weren't familiar with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and only repeated or rephrased words from the textbook. These were mostly for subjects that were new and not apart of the normally offered subjects in y7-9. Thus I resorted to teaching myself and personally felt that experience in class was wasted. On the other hand some of the teachers were extremely kind, understanding, and supportive. The ones I have got to experience did not push students down and only encouraged them to do better. I liked this nature of Wesley. However, I recalled a sour experience with a teacher in my early years of Wesley, who meddled with student affairs and complicated unnecessary drama. In my opinion it was incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary that it only made things worse. They gave off an aura that they enjoyed the drama and committed such acts that separated ties. Not wanting to linger on that memory any longer, I would finally like to touch on how the school barely gave any recognition to the graduating batch - the pioneering batch of this school. We worked hard for our final exam to shape the image of Wesley, yet we as Year 11's organized our own graduation ceremony and ebook compiled of our memories in this school. We personally feel hurt and that we are only seen when our Igcse results are out. Even then, they only mention those who score 8As and above, disregarding the number of subjects others took, and the rest of the other students who poured effort into their studies. As a result I truly felt we were nothing more than marketing materials for this school's reputation. I thank Wesley for the people I met and the experiences learnt. However I hold little to no emotional attachment to this school as a part of my highschool life and I feel incredibly sad about that.

As a parent who started the Wesley journey with the WMS primary school, joining the secondary school is a big let down in term of teacher quality and management efficiency. We find many untrained teachers who grossly lack the skills and knowledge to teach their respective subjects, all sort of teachers come and go, contract, part-time, even young and barely out of school interns are teaching in secondary! Every new term, we hear news of good teachers in the senior years left. We also have a rather slack school management that always cites miscommunication as reason for errors and issues they are incapable to resolve. Academic emphasis is far less than religion focus in many ways, it is also sad to see favoritism n bias in student body selection and award process. Lots to improve for secondary school under the current leadership, until then, this is not a place to be.

In my entire schooling life, this was the worst experience I have ever had. I enjoyed primary school very much. However, Secondary school is appalling. The subject teachers didn't even know how to teach well; they were unfamiliar with the IGCSE Curriculum and had a novice-level of English proficiency. We were often given an easy going day-to-day life with little or no homework, but when it comes to school exams we were so unprepared. Sadly, this was fine by many students. Also, the teachers were known to WASTE time by watching videos and dismissing us 20 minutes earlier during the online classes, giving the excuse of letting us "Rest our Eyes." . This led to them skipping chapters claiming that it was not tested for the particular year when it was included in the textbook. The timetables weren't even properly looked through to consider the students' wellbeing. Long lesson hours without allowing to stop or else we may face warnings for not concentrating. Short mealtimes caused us to go hungry for a long time and we aren't even allowed to eat in front of the screen. What I hated the most was the fact that this school practises Christianity and it's importance and that's just trash and time-wasting. It's senseless and the point was just to entice students to convert to Christianity. I also feel that this school has a rather toxic community of students. Many students can't behave on internet and it leads to trouble again and again. The teachers here also practice a certain level of favoritism towards some brown-nosing students. In Conclusion, This school is the WORST SCHOOL EVER. Don't even bother enquiring about it. All you are doing is to be signing up for an appalling, torturing place for your kid to suffer like me. No one should go through this treatment. The Principal is irresponsible, and the most important and vital thing is the school fees. I can't highlight that more than anything else. CCA Fees were charged when we couldn't even do it properly during the pandemic (Due to SOPs), and during the MCO it was the TEACHERS who taught us and not the supposed COACHES. And guess what, they decided to charge it the same price. Nice right? You thinking that this is the most affordable international school here in Penang and you eventually figure out they are just cheating you here, there and everywhere. Thousands of hard-earned Ringgit from parents just go down the drain. How touching of this to happen. The moment they changed the principal it just went down. All the way DOWN. Just forget about this useless school.
