I attended Queenwood from year 7 through 12 on a scholarship. It was an extremely traumatic experience from start to finish. The culture at the school favoured the extremely rich children, high academic achievers and talented athletes. It was evident that the school was more a business than a learning institution with the intention of nurturing young children through their adolescence. The mental health of most of the girls was awful, many suffering from anxiety and depression due to the toxic environment and exorbitant amount of pressure put on us to achieve. So many girls I knew, including myself, developed eating disorders in our final years whilst struggling through our HSC/IB diplomas. I am still recovering after battling with the illness for many years - I am now 22. The bullying was rife and particularly homophobic. As a queer person myself this was super scary. Parents please PLEASE do not sent your girls to this school.

This school seems to prioritise the girls whose parents donate large sums to the building funds and other projects, and likes to sacrifice those who do not. I have not personally experienced bullying but I see it in my year and school daily. While the school has great facilities and a great program for struggling students it is an awful, toxic environment. Anyone who isn’t overly confident and doesn’t care what others think would be broken by that school. If you want to get your daughter to succeed there then you must be prepared to spend large sums of money on top of the school fees. The price is not worth the experience. It is extremely damaging for self esteem and it has got to the point where my parents are considering sending me to public school instead of this Mosman princess factory.

My daughters attended Queenwood from Kindergarten through to Year 6 when we moved them. The school has a terrible culture. Parents get whatever they want by complaining. Those that complain the loudest get the most. Teachers show outright favouritism. The school accepts bad behaviour and does nothing. The school in no way lives by its values. Unless you are highly academic do not bother, they have no place for you. Nothing but high academic results are acknowledged. Girls may say and do whatever they please with no consequence and if there are consequences they are soon squashed due to parents who complain. Do not send your daughters to this school.

The school's nature is very unhealthy. It encourages bullying gossiping and all the girls like to compare how much money they have. It turns the sweetest girls into bullies. Do not recommend.

As a former student and now parent, I have only praise for Queenwood, the teachers, leadership team and values. I had an amazing experience in my 6 years in the senior school and that was prior to the school renovations, it was about the education I received and the long lasting friendships made. My daughter is also thriving at Queenwood. I was concerned about Queenwood being "too Mosman" especially as we aren't a local family but I haven't found that at all. My daughter's friends are grounded and lovely.

Although the school provides excellent opportunities, the environment in which the school is placed is extremely toxic. The now principle runs the school as if it were a business and herself is extremely toxic to the students and provides an awful workplace for teaches, being extremely demotivating. Furthermore the school puts particular focus on high achievers and mainly ignores the rest of the pupils. The academics are impressive however i don't see it outweighing the terrible environment generated by the principal.
