Teachers who truly care about each student’s academic growth as well as emotional wellbeing. Kids love to come to school and be with others from different backgrounds. Very diverse and challenging school.

This school has a declining reputation in the community with such activities as biased teachers, faulty judgment, and bad practices overall. During my time as a student the current Deputy Head, then a math, physical ed, and health teacher, found that our class had "too many Korean names" and renamed two of the students to "Barry" (a joke that followed the student to this day 9 years later), and "Jimbo". There was also favoritism built between some of the students and teachers that lead to favoring the children of teachers and their friends. MBIS is known for its "family atmosphere", however, if you do not fit this mould students tend to fall through the cracks. There where multiple students that seemed to vanish over night.

Attended 5th, 6th and 7th grade in the 1970’s, the teachers were amazing.

This was the first school I ever attended - it was back in the 1960's ! I really liked it. And Suma...a lovely location back then.

The teachers in this school are super super super biased. Some won't even listen to your actual true confessions and would just assume that you're in the wrong. Some don't really listen to your problems, and some categorize you as to what kind of student they think you are. I wish they were more considerate and would mind their own business, instead of trying to get to know about a student's life outside of school.

Moral disintegration in certain grades. If your kid is reasonably good, and is unfortunately in one of these grades, s/he will be immediately picked on. The problem is, this school only listens to the voice of the majority. They even force your child to “confess” something that s/he didn’t even commit. The psychological bully in there is simply out of control.
