How would you rate Lyceum Kennedy French American School?
The lack of support for student success. Despite assurances of personalized attention and academic guidance, our child was left to navigate their educational journey alone. The faculty's indifference towards their progress was evident, as they failed to address concerns, provide constructive feedback, or offer any meaningful assistance. It seemed as though the school was more interested in maintaining an appearance of excellence rather than genuinely helping students thrive.
Great school, truly international, with a good academic level and a strong attention to the students. My 3 children are students in this school (grade 7 / 5 and 1) and they are all very happy.
Lyceum Kennedy French American School has a selective approach and a discriminative attitude towards the students. The school's activity is so slow that they have only 1 class per grade as there are not enough students who want to study there. Sometimes the teacher misses the classes, and instead of having 6 classes in row, once students had only 3, because the teacher was absent for 3 of them and weren't warned about it. The school provides paid lunch, the quality of which is very poor, thus students have to carry the lunch with them, as they refuse to eat it. The teachers allow themselves intolerant remarks about students' religion, my child had this unpleasant occasion and nobody has had taken any action to prevent it neither to explain that it's not right nor excused themselves. My child was in middle school for 2 years, because of the selective approach and discriminative attitude to my child I decided to change this school. I expressed all my concerns in written version to the school, and as a response, the head of school found it appropriate only to mention that it was unnecessary to write it to the Embassy of France in Washington and ignored the issues about religious discrimination and on unfair approach to my child in this school.

My niece goes here and she raves about all of the teachers. First time I've heard of a child sound so enthusiastic about attending classes! They have the best educators that are truly passionate about investing the time and care to help their students grow and be enthusiastic about learning.

This is a great school. Kindergarten and primary school are wonderful. Children learn English and French and progress at incredible speed. The middle school is also superb, it fully respects the French curriculum of national education and goes much further with American subjects that enrich the curriculum and reinforce bilingualism. Beautifully well placed in Manhattan, I can only advise you for your children.

My daughter was nervous about entering a bilingual school and not knowing french. I can honestly say she loves school and she loves speaking French with her friends on french days. Thank you Lyceum Kennedy for all your support. I will definitely have some referrals for you.

Great school. My kids love it. It is a truly bilingual school where kids have 2.5 days in a French class with a French teacher following the French program and 2.5 days in the English classroom with an English teacher following the nyc curriculum. The best of both worlds!
