How would you rate Lighthouse American School?
Our two small children attend Lighthouse and we couldn't be happier with the strong community, innovative curriculum and exceptional faculty/staff that this school offers. Our children go to school so excited to learn, play and see their friends and teachers - which as a parent is so rewarding to see. We specifically wanted an American/IB school that also emphasizes social & emotional learning, diversity and global citizenship, and we see these values come to life at Lighthouse.
For us, a quality school prioritizes individual student growth, equipping them with essential tools to unlock their full potential. Lighthouse employs an adaptable personalized methodology within dynamic spaces, nurturing students' critical thinking across various subjects. Emphasizing cooperation and safety, Lighthouse recognizes the importance of soft skills in fostering a respectful community, guiding an exceptional learning experience focused on the common good
When looking for a school for my daughter in Madrid as an expat I never imagined I would find the exact school that fit all my criteria. I was looking for a school that had traditional values but was inclusive, open minded and innovative in their education method. I wanted the American system but with an international community. For my 3-year old daughter (at the time, she’s now 6 and attends 1st grade), it was important for her transition from home (she never attended guarderia) to school to be respectful to her time and adaptation process. I also wanted a close-knit community where parents could be involved with the school and where she could form relationships with faculty and kids all ages and not just her classmates. A place where learning happened almost by accident and most importantly, where she could be happy. Lighthouse American School not only fulfilled all my needs but exceeded all my expectations. It is truly a rare gem in Madrid. Seeing my daughter with a huge smile on her face every single weekday morning because she can’t wait to go to school is priceless. I can’t recommend this school and the family who owns and runs it enough. Their hard work, passion, and dedication is palpable in every detail and corner of the school and any kid and family would be very lucky to be part of Lighthouse.
An amazing school based in an ideal location for families living either in the centre or on the suburbs of Madrid. Lighthouse is a place where the kids really thrive to learn. A close knit family school relationship makes all the difference when it comes to helping the children find and reach their real potential. Highly recommendable!
My three kids have attended Lighthouse for three years now and they are very happy. What I like the most is the individualised attention to children, hands-on projects, social emotional learning skills, green areas for the kids to play, interactions between kids from different ages and above all respect for each child's individual learning process. The school is very well managed, the school principle is always there keeping an eye on everything and is open to listening to comments, petitions or needs from parents.

Gran colegio, maravillosos profesores que se involucran 100% con sus alumnos y espacios pensados por y para la diversión y aprendizaje de los niños. Situado además en una estupenda zona de MADRID.
